While working on the latest release of Expenses, my iOS app for tracking spending, I started thinking about adding a static blog to the main EffectiveBits website to write about new releases, features, and the occasional technical note.
That is when I discovered Astro, which looked very interesting and promising. I spent some time learning the basics and looking for a simple theme I could use as a starting point. Eventually I found Astro Micro, which is the base for this website with a few changes of my own.
A while ago I bought this domain with the idea of eventually making a personal website. That made it a good place to experiment before changing the main EffectiveBits website. And that is the site you are reading right now.
I plan on adding more content in the future but I don’t know how much time that will take. For now, this is the first post. Hello, World! 🙂
